Tools and Applications:

This is an e-book converter for all the major formats. It’s perfect for Do-It-Yourselfers, control freaks, and for those under-watching their budgets.

Make a note once anytime, anywhere . . . and find it instantly on all your devices. (Perfect for those middle-of-the-night ideas!)

If you take advantage of your “spell checker,” but find it lacking (because it is), Grammarly is for you. It catches more than 250 types of grammatical mistakes (including contextual and vocabulary errors). You can add it for free as an extension to Google or Safari and it will  work its magic while you’re composing emails, blog posts, social media posts, documents, and so much more.

One of SK’s favorites! Copy and paste any of your writing and watch the magic happen. The Hemingway Editor will highlight where your writing is too dense & hard to read, and it points out adverbs, needless/repeated/simpler words, passive voice. And best of all, it gives you a readability Grade Level. (Just try it!!!)

This is the genius love child of Word Processor and the best outlining app out there for writers. It offers a free trial, so go check it out!!! (And because we know it can be complicated, be on the lookout for our tutorial videos—coming soon!)

This website contains name generators, types of beings, magic types, settings, etc. It’s especially handy if you write Fantasy and Paranormal stories.

This is a great task manager application. Organize your to-dos by priority and optimize your productivity.

This is a web application that encourages writing by punishing the tendency to avoid writing. How? Well, you start typing in the box and as long as you keep typing, you’re fine! But once you stop, you have a grace period of a certain number of seconds and then there are consequences. Ha!
